The Cross

Christ sacrificed, the lamb of God
For God was pleased to have all His fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.
Col. 1: 18-19

The Compass

"The compass is the most prominent emblem of virtue, the true and only measure of a Mason's life and conduct. The Bible gives us light on duties to God, the square give light on duties to our neighbor, and the compass gives light on duty to ourselves, the great duty of circumscribing our passions... As in operative masonry compasses were used to give architect just proportions which will insure beauty as well as stability. So in speculative masonry, compass is symbolic of that even tenor of deportment, that true standard of rectitude which alone can bestow happiness here and felicity thereafter."
